What is Flook? +

Flook is an app by Now In Store that converts PDF catalogs, lookbooks and brochures into interactive, shoppable flipbooks you can embed on any website. It's available on the Shopify App Store and the BigCommerce marketplace, and has been in production since 2020.

How is Flook different from Catalog Maker? +

Catalog Maker builds PDF catalogs from your product data. Flook takes any existing PDF and turns it into an interactive flipbook. They do different things, and many Now In Store customers use both: Catalog Maker to generate the PDF, Flook to publish it as an interactive experience online. Each app is priced separately, with its own free trial.

Can customers actually buy from a Flook flipbook? +

Yes, on Shopify. On the Standard plan and above, every product in your flipbook can be hotspot-linked to add-to-cart. Customers tap the hotspot, the item adds to their cart, and they check out through your existing Shopify checkout, with all your normal payment, shipping, analytics and discount flows preserved. In-flipbook cart checkout is available on Shopify.

What can I enrich the flipbook with? +

Videos (self-hosted or YouTube/Vimeo), additional images, links to product pages or external URLs, and (on the Advanced plan) any custom HTML block including forms, countdowns, live feeds or analytics pixels.

Where can I embed the flipbook? +

On any Shopify page, on any external website (via embed code), in email campaigns (as a link), on landing pages, and as a standalone shareable URL. You can also generate a QR code for print, in-store or trade show use.

Does Flook work on mobile? +

Yes. Flook's viewer is fully responsive, with tap-to-flip interactions on mobile and smooth page-turn animations on desktop. No separate mobile version to maintain. No app install for viewers.

How long is the free trial? +

Every plan includes a 7-day free trial through whichever marketplace you install from (Shopify or BigCommerce). You can test every feature during the trial and cancel at any point with one click.

What file size and page limits are there? +

Basic: up to 10 PDFs, 100 pages and 100 MB per file. Standard: 50 PDFs, 200 pages, 500 MB per file, with interactive content and shopping cart integration. Advanced: 50 PDFs, 500 pages, 500 MB per file, with custom HTML and priority support.
